  • While we often design and implement European advertising campaigns, there is a need for caution to ensure brands are fully aware of the regulations and restrictions which can differ between European countries. There is no EU-wide or continental set of rules that applies.

    That means careful coordination is key, complying with:

    • French laws that regulate the density of outdoor advertising placements and the maximum size of each display.

    • German rules on advertising within urban areas.

    • City-specific regulations in Paris which aim to limit the concentration of advertising within city streets, with a cap on the number of hoardings that can be shown, and a ban on marketing within proximity of an educational facility.

    Other locations, like Grenoble in France, have prohibited out-of-home advertising completely, which is why we always recommend working with an experienced team of advertisers familiar with all the applicable European regulations.
