Roadside Advertising Case Studies

One Day Agency planned the roadside advertising behind Bugaboo's premium visibility campaign across Greater London.

Roadside is usually bought for volume, but for a premium parenting brand we bought it for relevance first. Sites were selected around maternity wards, hospitals and affluent areas including Westminster, Kensington, Chelsea, Marylebone, St John's Wood, Battersea and Bayswater, so the brand appeared in the environments closest to the product consideration journey. The mix ran two roadside digital 48-sheets, 30 roadside digital 6-sheets, six street hubs and 53 static 6-sheets, topped by a Westminster Bridge takeover near Big Ben and the London Eye.

The campaign delivered an estimated 15.65 million impressions, Westminster Bridge alone contributing 1.75 million. Every digital format overdelivered, and brand interest in Bugaboo rose around 10% year on year to a five year high.

One Day Agency used roadside formats to launch Butternut Box, the fresh dog food subscription brand, into the Irish market.

Roadside carried the scale a market entrant needs. We mapped the audience's actual routine across retail parks, supermarkets, shopping malls and roadside routes, then used large formats on the high traffic routes to build trust and dimension for a brand nobody in the market knew yet, with digital 6-sheets adding eye-level repetition and high dwell opportunities at an efficient cost.

Because the activation was contained to one region, we could isolate it against a control group and measure properly, monitoring Google Trends, organic and paid brand search terms and direct traffic in Google Analytics. Brand awareness rose substantially and subscriptions lifted across Ireland, with their Marketing Manager saying we had done "a smashing job.”

One Day Agency delivered the roadside advertising for Zesty Paws across the September to December window when UK pet anxiety peaks around Bonfire Night, travel and New Year.

Roadside placement was driven by pet density rather than general footfall, putting the brand in high pet-density and urban areas where owners actually live and walk. The creative had to work at speed, so we kept it simple: AI-generated imagery in a premium, calming style, pets placed centrally, soft cloud-like forms to signal relief and subtle fireworks in the background to anchor the seasonal context. Product shots, key messaging and purchase cues were integrated so the sites told people where to buy, not just how to feel.

Across 48-sheets and digital 6-sheets the activity delivered an estimated 3.47 million impressions, plus 7,308 additional digital plays through overshow.
