Ambient Advertising Case Studies

One Day Agency created experiential advertising for Commerce, formerly BigCommerce, around the industry moments where its audience gathers in person.

For a B2B SaaS brand, being near an event is less valuable than being part of the experience of attending it. At the Big Summit we used three fully wrapped taxis alongside lamppost banners around Tottenham Stadium, which gave priority attendees practical transport while turning that journey into branded visibility. At eCommerce Expo we took over Custom House station with XL cross-track hoarding, double-sided glass wall panels, ticket gates and digital 6-sheets, so delegates moved through Commerce branding as they arrived.

Booked for 24 and 25 September, the Custom House activation secured 14 additional days of overshow and delivered an estimated 1.18 million impacts. Gurveer Chana, Demand Generation Manager at BigCommerce, said we were handed "a strict budget" and "met it and exceeded our expectations.”

Ad Bike Advertising for UNiDAYS

One Day Agency used ad bike advertising for UNiDAYS as part of Ready For Anything, the student platform's first out-of-home campaign, timed to freshers.

Ad bikes solved a coverage problem. Universities are not always served by conventional media, and the places students actually gather, campus entrances and halls, often have no available formats. Ad bikes go where fixed media cannot, operating at pedestrian eye level directly outside university buildings. We placed ad bikes at universities alongside eye-level digital 6-sheets at student halls, giving the campaign tactical presence at the exact locations our audience passes daily, then built frequency around them with London Underground tube car panels, key stations, large format roadside, shopping malls and bus advertising across five key cities.

The campaign took UNiDAYS awareness and intent 100% above 2021, breaking a year on year decline running since 2017.

Experiental Advertising for
Formula One

One Day Agency built an experiential activation for Aston Martin at North Greenwich station, turning a media takeover into something commuters could walk into.

Static formats deliver reach, but reach alone does not create a brand moment, so we added high-touch elements to the 70+ format domination. A full-sized Aston Martin F1 show car was parked at the main entrance as a magnet for fan interaction. Lola's Cupcakes was rebranded as Lola's Pit Stop and handed out over 1,000 Aston Martin branded cupcakes. A branded photo booth generated souvenirs, and team ambassadors and security kept the whole activation running smoothly.

Those additions turned passive footfall into active engagement across a two week window. The campaign delivered 48.8 million impressions, with social mentions using #AstonMartinF1Team climbing steadily and Spain a leading source of engagement.
