Challenge

Huboo approached us to develop a digital marketing campaign to attract, recruit, candidates for their logistics centres. At first glance, the answer was straightforward but after considering competitiveness across the usual digital channels, we’ve decided for a bolder strategy: audio.

Strategy & Execution

After thinking carefully about the task at hand, and looking at how Facebook, Instagram, Search and other channels are saturated in addition to the staffing issues in the UK currently, we felt that approaching this “traditionally” would result in a mediocre result. A problem they were already facing in normal recruitment platforms and methods.

Giving the audience, a mix of young career starters, we proposed a bolder approach, channel, to the brand with a media that can tell more for less whilst talking to the right audience: Spotify Ads and bespoke audio ads!

We’ve recorded, jointly with the Huboo team, a 74-word audio script detailing work environment, culture, career progression and benefits ending with a strong call-to-action and creative that linked to a unique mobile-friendly landing page.

This channel, tightly knitted with the right audience and a very transparent engaging audio ad resulted in high qualitative KPI’s and results shared below.

Results

This approach was the most successful recruitment effort that Huboo has done yet and they are now embedding this approach moving forward. The results speak for themselves: high conversions (applicants) at a much lower cost whilst showcasing the brand closer to the candidates by having used audio.
